Softball: Punjab to defend title in championship

Tournament features six teams from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Islamabad and Army.

Punjab will continue their title defence at the National Women’s Softball Championship for a third year in a row as they face Balochistan, while Sindh will take on Army to compete for the trophy in the semi-final today at the Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre in Karachi.


The tournament features six teams from Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Islamabad and Army. Sindh defeated Balochistan 15-1, whereas Army defeated Islamabad 11-1. Sindh and Army remain the top teams in the championship, while K-P failed to qualify for the semi-finals when they lost to Balochistan 11-0 in the first match of the day.
