Dispensation of justice is difficult, intricate task: CJP

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that "the dispensation of justice is a difficult and intricate task, the bench and bar should work hard to provide justice to litigants at their door-steps".

The Chief Justice said this while addressing a delegation of Mansehra District Bar Association headed by its President Shah Jahan Khan and comprising other office bearers and members who called on him here on Tuesday in the Supreme Court.

"The vision of independent judiciary can only be materialised with the help and sincere efforts of bar so it is a responsibility of Bar to assist the Bench in dispensation of justice", the Chief Justice said.

The delegation assured full support and cooperation in process of dispensation of expeditious and inexpensive justice and lauded the role of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for the steps taken to provide justice to litigants at door-steps.

The Chief Justice also noted the services rendered by legal fraternity for the cause of rule of law and supremacy of Constitution in society.

The delegation invited Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to visit Mansehra Bar and he extended his thanks and assured to visit at suitable time.

How is justice possible in a scenario, where one sided stay orders are granted without hearing the other side.
