Evil of terrorism: Pakistan-US fighting common war, says Olson

US Ambassador in Pakistan paid a visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi.

KARACHI: Pakistan and the United States are waging a joint war against the menace of terrorism to ensure global peace, said US Ambassador in Pakistan Richard Olson while paying a visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi on Monday morning. He laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum and paid homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his struggle to achieve a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent. Later‚ talking to the media ‚ he said efforts are under way to promote Pak-US ties particularly in the education‚ culture and energy sectors. Olson said his country will extend all possible cooperation for the development of these sectors in Pakistan. Olson also visited the Edhi Centre later during the day.
