The main opposition party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has almost finalised its manifesto, which is set to be announced at the end of the month by party chief Nawaz Sharif.
According to the PML-N media office, Nawaz presided over the fifth meeting of the party’s manifesto committee, during which over a dozen committees for various sectors submitted their final reports.
The PML-N chief is said to have discussed each and every point of the manifesto with participants of the meeting and will reveal it to the public by the end of the month.
Notably, the manifesto committee on interprovincial harmony did not propose the creation of new provinces in the country, such as the Seraiki and Hazara provinces, participants of the meeting revealed.
The committees on interprovincial relations and speedy justice also submitted their proposed demands in the meeting on Monday, which have been accommodated in the manifesto.
The interprovincial committee proposed ways on developing harmony among provinces, as well as between Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The party further discussed what strategy it would introduce in the four provinces, Kashmir and G-B if it won the upcoming general elections across the country.
PML-N General Secretary Zafar Jhagra neither denied nor confirmed the reports, saying he was not entitled to divulge the minutes of the meeting. He added that it was the party chief’s prerogative to announce the manifesto.
Furthermore, while addressing participants of the meeting, Nawaz said that after the success of the judges’ restoration movement, each and every person will receive justice on his/her door step.
In light of the spirit of the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan, the PML-N performed its role well in provincial autonomy and vowed to implement the 18th Amendment, he added.
Nawaz has formed 13 committees for various sectors, who submitted recommendations to the main manifesto committee. The PML-N’s manifesto will focus on the economy, energy crisis, jobs and improving the law and order situation, particularly in Karachi and Multan.

@Nadeem: NS the most successful PM .What a joke. Here are some facts about NS
Nurtured by generals Jilani and Zia Implicated in tax evasion Implicated in money laundering Accepted money from ISI(fact) Attacked supreme court (fact) Defaulted on loans. Rigged elections to defeat Benazir Can't put two sentences together (in front of media) Spent billions on infrastructure around palaces of Raiwind Bankrupted the country Stole overseas Pakistanis money (foreign currency accounts) Responsible for bringing in gen Musharaf Does not pay any tax (has hidden all his money in foreign accounts) The list can go on and on. PS atomic program was started by Bhutto not by NS and the rest of the projects were either on going or were started by Musharaf.Seiously, can we have a hidden camera in that meeting please. I bet it would be more interesting then Blackaddar or any of the popular sitcoms. Mian Sahab saying yes to everything until Ahsan Iqbal intercepts or Mian Sahab listening to everything and asking about the various bakery products.
Seriously, i need a hidden cam - any takers?
@Faisal: "Had he not been a cricket player, I doubt anyone would have known him "
actually he was not only a mediocre cricketer but became a legendary sportsman. Not because of his talents but due to his sheer hard work, vision and determination. He is the only Pakistani who enjoys transatlantic celebrity status, btw what have YOU done in your life for Pakistan and why should anyone listen to you.. why should we follow your suggestions?...give us one good reason.
News will be that " PMLN to Copy PTI Manifesto ! and to published it on PMLN letterhead"
@Faisal: Blind are the people who seems to have forgotten the recent SC ruling on Asghar Khan case. Blind are the people who have forgotten that it was the very same Nawaz Sharif who sent hooligans and thugs to invade Supreme Court, his men grabbed the Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah by hair and dragged him all over the place. Gohar Ayub in his interview admitted that a day before the invasion, NS confided in him that he wanted to put the Chief Justice to jail for one day to teach him a lesson. G Ayub begged him to go against his wishes but what Nawaz Sharif did is not a distant history. Its no secret that in their tenure PML-N govt introduced tax reliefs, subsidies to businesses and massive projects took place. But then NS & family benefited the most from those projects too. From a single steel mill to "Group of Industries" takes time, effort, a vision and proper execution. Nawaz Sharif achieved this with 4-5 years of his rule.....that says it all....not because he was a genius but because he is nothing like Imran Khan. People are NOT looking for a good leader rather they are looking for an honest, trustworthy and truthful leader..a leader to prays what he preaches. if you still think that people are following PTI "blindly" then you live in fool's paradise. People are looking at PTI & IK for their credibility and their promise to bring policy of change. IK never plundered the wealth of this nation as other political parties have done. Even without being in power he has given more to Pakistan than any political govt has achieved. People are sick and tired to death of living in fear in a place where political mafia's proclaim that its their right to govern them. People who are following present status quo parties; be it ruling or opposition, are not only "blind" but the very reason that this country is a mess. How come NS and his family transferred billions of rupees before the nuclear test. How come NS didn't participate in the miseries that he was aware people of Pakistan were about to go through few days later. He might be a good human being but he certainly is not a trustworthy nor honest.
since last 31 years, they have been 5 times Chief Minister of Punjab and 2 times Prime Minister of Pakistan and they do not have manifesto? Shame on US, on People that we voted them.
Sir, your name alone is a comprehensive manifesto for the majority of Pakistan. Can't wait to see you lead the country to prosperity, In Sha Allah!
New manifesto is to support any corrupt government that comes into power like in the past !!!
The only party who can bring real change is PMLN. WB, ADB, TI and other international institutions had put confidence in Punjab government. We have to understand they have limited resources and decades are required to clear the mess of dictatorships and corrupt PPP governments in the past. Just blindly following IK is not a solution. Had he not been a cricket player, I doubt anyone would have known him and the best example is Asghar Khan. IK is fooling the nation. Open your eyes guys!!!
@Hasnain: yes just as the PPP was the only hope in 1971, 1988, 1993 and 2008 ?? or just like when PML was the only hope in 1990, 1997 ?? kindly clarify
@Hasnain: i voted them in last election for last time but nothing changed, i will give one chance to PTI now.
What manifesto? How to do money laundering! How to keep 17 ministries! How to use public funds for party advertisements! How to bring forward your own children to party top positions! How to distribute laptops etc! Give me a break. USE YOUR VOTE WISELY! HOW MANY MORE TIMES WILL WE BE STUNG BY THEM?
@Fahd: Nawaz Sharif has been the most successful PM this country has ever seen. To name a few of his achievements: 1. Water accord 2. NFC Award 3. Trade Liberalisation 4. Banking Sector Reforms 5. Taxation Reforms 6. Gawadar Port 7. Airports of Karachi & Lahore 8. Motorways 9. Nuclear Explosion 10. Car Maunfaturing Plants 11. IPPs 12. JF-17 Aircraft Enough or u need more?
"Nawaz said that after the success of the judges’ restoration movement, each and every person will receive justice on his/her door step." I have one follow up question.
Is it the same kind of justice the Bakery boy recieved on his bakery's doorstep?
heading of this news should be "Nawaz sharif will reprint manifesto by year end"
Year End , I thought its already Year's end ! Ohhhhh yeah they have to simply copy paste PTI'S manifesto this should not take much a time
MANIFESTO would be: WHATEVER SHARIF FAMILY SAY IS RIGHT....
PML is the only hope for Pakistan. Vote for PML-N !
Mr Nawaz Sharif we are well aware now through your policy papers by your five years government in Punjab. We have seen you very well by all these time. Even in whole five year your party can not gave us the same syllabus for all schools in punjab. We are producing different class ridden students. That bring dissension in society.
Brand new menifesto, what happened to last one?
