Man shot dead, three injured in road accident

The unknown car-rider opened fire at Ali on a bus stop as he disembarked from the bus.

A man was shot dead and three others were injured in a road accident in Kallar Syedan during the last 24 hours.


In the first incident, a 30-year-old man, identified as Muhammad Ali, was shot dead by unknown assailants when he was travelling in a Toyota Hiace van towards Kallar Syedan from Rawalpindi.

The unknown car-rider opened fire at Ali on a bus stop as he disembarked from the bus. Ali died on the spot, the police added. A blind murder case has been registered as the police were clueless about the assailants and the motive till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, three bike riders were injured in a collision between two motorcycles on Kallar Syedan Road.

The police said the motorcycle of Ehtesham and Haseeb collided with another bike being driven by Rashid.

All three motorcyclists were taken to hospital in critical condition.
