Legacy remembered: Scholars pay tribute to Allama Qasimi

HYDERABAD: The ninth death anniversary of scholar Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasimi was observed on Sunday, December 9, at Baldia Colony. An inauguration ceremony of his book ‘Chond Sawanih Khaka’ took place and the Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasimi chair was also established. Many scholars and intellectuals spoke at the event, including Habibullah Siddique and Taj Joyo. Renowned intellectual Ghulam Ali Alana said that Qasimi was a great religious scholar and played a key role in setting up the Sindhi Adabi board, Institute of Sindhology and Shah Waliuallah Academy. He added that Qasimi had helped him a lot in collecting valuable books and manuscripts from different parts of the country.
