New Faisalabad DCO takes charge

Removes barricades, walkthrough gates from his office.

Newly appointed District Coordination Officer Muhammad Amin Chaudhary took charge of his office on Monday.


He has been transferred from Gujranwala and appointed to replace Naseem Sadiq, who in turn has been transferred to Multan.

The new DCO held an introductory meeting with the heads of various government departments after taking charge. He was briefed about the department’s performance and the status of ongoing development projects in the district.

Chaudhry said that no compromise would be made on citizens’ relief. He assured the meeting that steps would be taken to improve the quality of the district administration services.

He ordered the officials concerned to remove unnecessary security hurdles from the DCO’soffice so that people could contact him directly. After the orders, all barricades, walkthrough gates and other hurdles were removed from the DCO office.

He also withdrew the police squad posted for his safety, saying that “one should work freely and without observing any security formality”.

During the briefing session, the DCO ordered the Livestock Department to conduct a survey of livestock farms in the district. He said that livestock farms with more than 15 cattle should be registered with the department. He also said that livestock breeders should be provided guidance and necessary facilities.

He directed the Agriculture Department officials to develop a liaison with farmers and inform them about modern cultivation technologies. He said that all illegal sugarcane weigh bridges in the district must immediately be sealed.

He asked the heads of departments to chalk out new schemes, aimed at the beautification and development of the city.
