The official website of the Punjab Assembly was hacked by a group of hackers terming the move an act of ‘payback’.

A group of hackers who identified themselves as Bangladeshi nationals hacked the provincial assembly’s website in retaliation to an earlier act in which a Pakistani had hacked a Bangladeshi website.

The hackers posted a message on the website saying this was in response to the hacking of the Bangladeshi website and if the Federal Investigation Authority failed to get hold of the culprit they would continue hacking other official websites. The website was restored a few hours later.
