Abducted by militants: Body of security official found

Curfew imposed in North Waziristan lasting from 6am to 5:30pm.

MIRANSHAH: The body of a kidnapped security personnel was found in Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan Agency.

The bullet-riddled body was identified as Adil Hussian, who had been kidnapped on Friday with another personnel Niaz Ali. They were abducted from the  Bangi Dar, Ghulam Khan area by unidentified militants.

A security forces official said that unidentified assailants left Hussian’s body in the bazaar and escaped. The body was shifted by security forces to their headquarters in Miranshah and then to his hometown to be buried.

Till this report was filed, there was no information available about the other personnel kidnapped.

Political administration officials have imposed a curfew in the agency that will last from 6am till 5:30pm in the evening. The curfew has been imposed to ensure  secure movement for forces  in North Waziristan.

The main routes of the agency were blocked. Residents living on the outskirts were allowed to move but have been restricted from using the main roads that connected them to other parts of the agency.
