"This Is PayBak To Shadow008 For Hacking Our Bangladeshi Sites!" reads the text on the defaced site, which carried the image of a profane hand gesture.
The hackers identified themselves as Cr4ck-Br4iN, RoTating RoTor and Ablaze EVER.
They left a message for the site administrator saying that a Pakistani hacker called Shadow008 was "responsible" for this defacement as he had hacked their country's websites first.
Threatening more attacks unless the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) catch the said hacker, the hackers said the FIA had previously been unable to apprehend him.
Shadow008 was also accused by these hackers of defacing Google Pakistan.
"Pressurize your law enforcement agency to make this criminal busted and let us live in peace and also let us leave u in peace," read the message on the website.
The hackers called the above mentioned hacker a "cyber terrorist" and left instructions for the FIA for catching him.
A Pakistani hacker, however, wrestled back control of the website a little later and defaced it with his own message to the site administrator.
Website defacement has gained popularity with cross-border hackers who seem to consider it a medium expressing their anger or disagreement and for taking revenge.
Pakistani hackers have recently defaced many websites, including 400 Chinese government sites and 30 Israeli sites.

every thought why only pathetic government sites get defaced/hacked in generic terms? first the PKNIC is operated from US and stupidly very stone age site to manage all the domains for Pakistan. On top of that they have policy of selling TLD- top level domains like whole sale, no where in the world its allowed like this junk domain policy! ie you can have tom.pk harry.pk etc is it a joke?
secondly most public websites are managed by so called IT departments, and looks like managed by bunch of word processors learning to be HTML writers! They do not follow a security policy to defy even a beginner from simple attacks! its down to quality of staff recruited in public sector!
@Brian: I would much rather count on the Punjab assembly than any other provincial assembly in Pakistan; Just compare the stability and progress of Punjab vs the other provinces and you can see what the assembly in Punjab has done for the province. If some childish hackers want to get into web sites on other countries and vice versa, it just means that the sites need to made more child proof and have better security to guard against lonely guys with too much time on their hands who don't know how to be productive! Look at government web sites in the US - they always are hacked into by these types of losers with too much time and nothing to do!
Stupid fanboys with comupters think a little skill in hacking is going to make them famous. Muslim youth just love to create a fuss everywhere, how about they put these skills together and build a security software?
Behind every act of sabotage against Pakistan there is a country named ...................INDIA.
Deffo Indians playing the double jeapordy so obvious.
enough of the play? get to real work... ever heard of Julian?
a ten year old kid can probably deface all pakistani government websites, it's no magic, they have non-existent security .. obviously, because all money goes into their pockets
Work of Indians who want to create a rift amongst the Muslims of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
A conspiracy by Indians.
Payback Time? tish tish! Tribune
crap.easy stuff. real hacking is that you hacked and stole information and other person have no idea what he has lost. thats real job
someone bring me some popcorn :D
oo i thought they would be asking Punjab assembly to apologise for 1971 genocide...
The Website have been hacked 100000000 times this year :P Please Stop giving such news huh ...
Good Job Pakistani hackers.
hacking Pakistan Governments websites is really really easy job, whenever i visit websites like HEC, PAKRAIL, Gujrawala board, i see ** load of exploits in them.
Pakistan must invest some money in digital security and produce experts in this field but thats never gonna happen because (1) IT education is really really expensive here and (2) we want to return to stone-ages.
I wonder how we will be able to make NUKES, missiles, baburs, shaheens, ghauris in stone-ages.
Punjab Assembly has a website? Seems to me that they are full of illiterate people who sit in one place and share their pleasentries with one other.
Now it has been unhacked by some Pakistani Group
After taliban/alqaeda terrorism now the land of pure will be a hub for cyber-terrorism. Dus crore jahils should feel proud.
These are script kiddies what they do really isnt that special. Stop blowing it out of proportion. Real "hackers" dont spend their time defacing sites.
