In a statement released to on Friday, the Minsitry spokesperson said that the police raid on business office in London in connection with MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq's murder, would eventually help clear all misgivings about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement which is not only a coalition partner but also represents secular forces in the country.
BBC Urdu reported on Saturday that the London Metropolitan Police had confirmed they had raided offices of the MQM located on Edgware road, London.
They added that the police searched the business address of Altaf Hussain for two days.
The foreign office corroborated the London Metropolitan’s raid.
MQM has denied their London office was raided.

if MQM is responsible for Karachi chaos, then who is responsible for the chaos in KP, Baluchistan, Interior Sindh and law and order issues in Punjab, MQM is not there in these provinces. Think as true Pakistani guys
"Foreign ministry confident misgivings against MQM will be cleared". Just like we are confident that this government is full of capable people.
Foreign office statement is unconstitutional and must be challenged in the court. Foreign Office had no business to issue an uncalled for statement in favour of Altaf Hussain who is a British citizen.
Allah ki laathy beawaz hootey hey. One day force of injustices, violence and hate has to get exposed.
It wasn't MQM office that was raided -- it was actually a restaurant that was selling drugs hidden in hot dogs and fruit pie.
So it's too premature to make any judgement but it's not too premature to predict that MQM will be exonerated -- that about sum up the FO position?
I still think about this doctor, very sad story. I really don't know much about MQM but really this was such a tragic case.
Now bhai will blame Punjab for this.
There is nothing wrong if they are searching for any evidence, obviously Imran Farooq used to sit there, so where else they could search for evidence?
MQM finally cornered :) Good days ahead for Pakistan & specially for Karachites
