Salim malik’s plea: To coach or not to coach?

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday directed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to decide within a month whether the application of the ex-captain of Pakistan’s cricket team Salim Malik will be granted or not. Malik has applied to become the batting coach of the national team. Malik’s attorney said that the time period set by the inquiry commission on playing or participating in cricket activities had lapsed. He said the petitioner had applied to the board for his appointment as coach but the PCB was not making a decision. The court has directed the PCB to make a decision on the petitioner’s application within a month. Earlier in 2000, the PCB had imposed fines and a life ban on Malik.
