Zardari will not lead election campaign: Khursheed Shah

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari will not lead the election campaign nor become a part of it, said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Wednesday, Express News reported.

The PPP leader was speaking in Islamabad.

Shah also commended Zardari for his role as the president of Pakistan.

President Zardari has been tangled in a court case pertaining to him holding dual offices. A Lahore High Court bench had issued an order against the president holding a political office and conducting political activities in the presidency.

Recently, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s political plans were also revealed.

Bilawal is expected to begin his electoral politics career and public relations campaign from Larkana on December 27 this year - the date of his mother, Benazir Bhutto’s, death anniversary.

@DevilHunterX: You cannot be serious are you? Winning the World Cup means never work in life after that till after 60 years of age and live off other people's money? Most people work for a living as a voter I have a right to ask the leader "what have you been doing for a living during the last two decades". Even multiple Olympics gold medalists work for a living after they are done playing. Being a champion once is not an excuse to never work, is it? Cheers, M

PPP is really Bhutto Family (Pvt) Limited, where the MD's can only be people in the direct lineage of the Bhutto family. This is the worst form of feudalism. Someone produces a fake will and everyone in the party signs up on the appointment of a child in political-diapers as the next chairman of the largest political party. Every PPP worker should be ashamed, since this goes against every fundamental edict of the democracy. The main reason democracy was created as a system of governance to challenge monarchy and feudalism. Only in monarchies and feudalism, there is hereditary transition of power. Democracies do NOT believe in divine entitlement to rule. This is democracy, NOT gadee nasheeni, which is transferred on the basis of blood line. People in democracy EARN their privilege (NOT right) to rule and govern through public service. Bilawal Zardari has NEVER done a day's real work in his life. How do you expect him to EVER relate to the problems of the millions of poor masses in Pakistan. He has NEVER run a single organization. Never attended a single school in Pakistan. Never run a single public service mission. Never held a real job or never done and honest day's work. PLEASE THINK. He does not have a law degree either. How can he ever make complex policy decisions or make laws to affect and improve the lives of average Pakistani. PLEASE THINK. Please make better political judgement for the sake of your own kids, and for the sake of this nation. He will NOT be impacted. He has much money and property abroad. He can screw Pakistan blind and still not care and live comfortably for the rest of his life abroad. PLEASE THINK.
