SUKKUR: Ten people were arrested after a Sepco team and police visited different areas and cut off connections for delay in payment of bills. Following the arrests, residents held a protest at the national highway outside the Sepco office on Tuesday. Shouting slogans against the officials, the protesters burnt tyres and blocked the highway. On SDO Faheem’s directives, the detained men were being moved to the police station but the vehicle was attacked by the protesters. Sepco officials and police managed to escape while the protesters took the arrested people with them. SDO Faheem said he will register an FIR against the protesters.
