Karachi violence case: SC issues short order
A five-member apex court bench heard the case from November 26 to 30.
The short order includes details about delimitation of constituencies in Karachi and land allotment.
The order stated that land mafia has a major role in the deteriorating law and order situation of the city.
Voters boundaries
Redrawn since 2002, the “voter boundaries” have been a bone of contention among major stakeholders in Karachi. Rival political parties claim the constituencies have been drawn on ethnic lines to influence polling results. These differences have claimed hundreds of lives over the recent years.
The apex court in its various recommendations had included delimitation of constituencies to split the influence of certain political or ethnic groups.

World is Laughing at our SC,They are ruining genuine mandate of the city just because they don't like the party to serve there,The cunning and biased behavior of All institutions with the people of Karachi urge them to Think that Molana Kalam and Bangalis were absolutely right about the rest of Pakistanis.
So Punjab Supreme Court showed its racist face ...we will never learn from history when you will try to steal mandate Pakistan has to payback the price..it happened earlier and it is happing again...
The role played by Supreme judiciary to find out the core problem of Karachi is delimitation of Constituencies. Karachites should file a case against Supreme court judges of wasting the tax money and time of Karachi on such a bias judgement against the permanent resident of Karachi
We learn nothing from history - Remember After 1970 election , The mandate of East Pakistan was ridiculed by Clergy and in 2012 Mandate of Karachi is ruined even before the election and guess by whom - Independent Judiciary.

Interpretation of majority achieved democratically by a single party with monopoly is totally undemocratic and unconstitutional.“Delimitation of constituencies should be done across the country based on population census instead of talking about delimitation of Karachi,” it said. Pakistan, like rest of the world, should initiate delimitation of constituencies across the country in line with the population rate after carrying out census. It warned that delimitation of constituencies in Karachi without undertaking census will cause sense of deprivation among the people of Karachi.
All I would say #FreeSCofPolitics . Our judiciary unfortunately looking like a property of the few. If they can go beyond their scope . Why not army and politicians?
It has been clearly proved that the judges of supreme court from a particular province ( right guess) are showing their true colors .Bad Omen .
I sincerely thought, a court will ask about 300,000 weapon license issued to unknown people. I hoped that court will Decree an order to force the ANTI-HATE speech law from anybody that can stir voilence among people. but maybe the least it could have done is to ask the Interior minster in court and ask him how the weapons enters Karachi, or maybe sindh in the first place.
atleast- it can call upon IG sindh and ask him who has RPG fired at police, and to why not they do not dare in LYARI anymore?

SC clearly failed with its functions. It went over and beyond its constitutionals rights, vested in them by the PEOPLE of Pakistan. In fact, it clearly ignored the core issues of Karachi regarding security of its citizens and policing issues. It seems to be that SC is serving the purpose of few unrelated individual rather than the status quo of the majority and the citizens of not only this city, but this country.
I hate to say this but what is the difference between a Dictator and the current SC, JUSTICE HAS NOT BEEN SERVED. Unfortunately we say that our Judiciary is independent, but for now the justice is only available to Chaudary's Shareef's and the likes of Arsalan Iftikhar. REST DON'T MATTER.
SC clearly failed with its functions. It went beyond its constitutional rights; to state anything about delimitation of constituencies. In fact, it completely ignore the core issues regarding the security of citizens and policing issue. Were these guys drunk or what? How can a court decide on delimitation? It is completely against constitution...... These people should be send back to the Law Schools, probably they do not know Law any more.

No court orders can or be allowed to by pass the constitutional constraints. If census is a precondtion laid out in the Constitution of Pakistan then lets have census first. No courts are, especially the one tarnished with biased and ethenic inclinations if not outright hatred for a people, superior to people's right to decide what they wish for themselves. This or any such ridiculous order must be rejected by the people, no attempt at divide and rule is acceptable. Period.
And the judgement did not talked about minor things like punishing the criminals especially the terrorists and violent criminals?? and no mention of treating all the terrorist cases in expeditious manner and holding prosecution accountible if they bungle up the case preparation???

Interference in the domain of the Election Commission and electoral process in the garb of law and order situation is unconstitutional and illegal. It has the potential of further deteriorating the law and order situation in Karachi and could be a pertext and precursor of postponement of elections.
Another political judgement of Courts, they did not order voter verification but orders delimitation. As they knew delimitation will never occur before Elections 2013.

how can you draw new constituencies without a census and that too in a democratic setup? PCO judges are crushing justice under their feet and if a voice is raised, it is shot down. Their anti-Karachi and pro-Raiwind behavior is far too obvious
