Abuse: Five-year-old girl allegedly raped

HYDERABAD: A five-year-old girl was raped in Meghwadh Colony, Umerkot, on Sunday evening. The girl went missing while she was playing on the street outside her house. The family found her several hours later on the same street but her condition suggested that she was assaulted. She was taken to Mirpurkhas for a medical examination. DSP Manzoor Khan said that the girl was assaulted but she was unable to identify the culprit. “We are using sniffer dogs to reach the place where she was taken,” he said. The girl’s father, who works as a labourer at a flour mill, is waiting for the medical report before he files the FIR.
