Polio eradication: Review meeting to be held

Meeting has been called at the Governor’s House in Peshawar on December 5 at 10am.

PESHAWAR: A meeting to review polio eradication initiative in the province has been called at the Governor’s House in Peshawar on December 5 at 10am. The meeting will be co-chaired by Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Barrister Masood Kausar and Chairperson Polio Oversight Committee and MNA Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho. The meeting will be attended by all theseven7 divisional commissioners and 25 district coordination officers of K-P. Commissioners will brief the chair about their plan of action to effectively stop polio spreading in the next six months in their respective divisions. The meeting has been called with the objective to make the next low transmission season the ‘last’ in the history of polio eradication.
