University admissions: Names of successful candidates released

More than 300 candidates had appeared for the examinations which were conducted on November 28.

KARACHI: Karachi. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University, Lyari released the names of 250 candidates on Sunday who cleared the entrance tests for admissions to the university’s undergraduate programmes. More than 300 candidates had appeared for the examinations which were conducted on November 28. Around 50 per cent of the seats had been reserved for students from the towns of Lyari, Gadap, Keamari and Malir. The rest were open to students from all over the province. According to the university’s spokesperson, Pirah Mangi, successful candidates have to deposit Rs4,500, which includes the admission fee as well as the first semester’s tuition, by December 10. Classes for the new semester are expected to begin on December 12.
