ABBOTABAD:

Irked by the suspension of CNG supply for the sixth consecutive day, residents took to the streets on Saturday.

They blocked Mansehra Road at different areas, littering it with stones and lighting a fire on the avenue to mark their protest. A group of irate locals also pelted stones at Awami CNG station on Mansehra Road, but police reached the scene and dispersed the protesters before they could cause major damage to the station.

Meanwhile in a unique move, Haripur Transport Association urged the district admin to take action against fuel stations which sell CNG at night. They offered relief to passengers in fares using petrol and diesel fuel, provided the administration seals the defiant CNG stations.
