Destiny?: Fatima Bhutto to contest next elections
Speaking at an event the widow of Murtaza Bhutto said Fatima will contest the elections from Liaquatpur, NA-192.
Fatima is a writer and the granddaughter of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and niece of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
While she supports her mother in the socio-political arena, Fatima herself has noted on previous occasions that she has no desire to run for public office and has “rule[d] a political career out entirely because of the effect of dynasties on Pakistan," referring to the Bhutto family’s political dynasty that continues with her cousin Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, chairperson of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party.
Bilawal to contest elections from 3 constituencies
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will contest the next general elections from three constituencies in Jamshoro, Larkana and Lyari, said the provincial minority affairs minister, Dr Mohan Lal Kohistani in late November.
Talking to party workers of the minority wing from Jamshoro and Tharparkar districts at his office, he said that the ruling party will soon formally launch its countrywide electioneering campaign under the leadership of Bilawal.

being a writer i'm working on the subject of comming election in the changed political situation in Sindh, for which it is necessary to write down the full scale articales in any news paper. uptil now i got success to assess the district Tharparker from where i belong, and district Jamshore where i live at this time. nowadays i'm working on district Sanghar.
She has every right to contest and she should. Those suggesting that she is going back or her promise are hoping against hope that she should not contest have the way clear for the plunderers. Did she ever promise? No. Never. Please correct your knowledge. Fatima has a much better head on her shoulders than any of the other members of the family. She is educated and to the extent I can make out from her writings she would be much more honest and reasonable and accommodating than all others. Lets wish this young lady good luck and a long long life.

it is better time for Fatima Bhutto, to contest election from larkana instead of other place., because ppp lost footing at there during their term of government.
i't will be joke when Bilawal will contest election against Asad Malak, and against Bhuttos. and in Layari, no more hub for poor Bilawal.
What a joke; claiming never to pursue a political career, and then opting to contest for elections. Instead of encouraging and praising her for this decision, the public needs to call her out on her double standards. Publicly claiming never to enter politics to 'save' Pakistan from the curse of dynasty democracy, she is now choosing to willingly subject Pakistan to the same curse. This is not about how she might be different from the previous Bhutto's. This is not about how she has the apparent intellectual capacity to fix the country (as most people reading this article seem to believe, judging from the comments). This is NOT about whatever reason she might concoct to justify her decision. This is about her integrity as a person. This is about her capacity to stick to her words. This is about her lies. This is about her deceit. If she lied about not pursuing a political career, then she lied back then. And if she was genuine about her stance previously, then her decision to stand for the elections prove that she is capable of selling out, should the need or the opportunity arise. Nobody is an angel. But her manipulation of the public by displaying such innate contradictions need to be questioned. No, we do not need people like her in politics, if she is nothing more than an opportunist who is willing to say one thing, and do another. We cry about accountability. Let us start from here. HOLD her accountable for her statements and her actions and the inherent opposition between the two. Question her. Question her motives. Make an informed value judgment. Please, for the love of this country and it's future, DO NOT blindly support her decision to contest the elections just because she looks one way or talks the other. Learn to think, learn to question, learn to look at the truth instead of waiting for someone else to come in and save you. You have a moral and ethical responsibility to your country to elect the lesser of all evils.

what has she achieved or done to stand for elections?has anyone heard her interviews or speeches....she doesn't sound any more educated or smart then the average educated pakistani!!!! i was pretty disappointed!!

She is the best option among the new breed of family politics and I would love to vote her if I had a vote in Pakistan. A beautiful mind and true reminder of BB.
She has brains and looks but its a pity she has no political following, to expect anything substantial from her would be a mistake, unless she aligned her party with one of the bigger players.

How immature to say the least .. No one is fan of corrupt politicians but take any politician who is most incompetent and the most corrupt in the history of this country and I would choose him any day over a "competent" military dictator. You know why, because if we are fed up we can get rid of that politician in the next election whereas the dictator will start killing and flogging anyone who opposes them, besides any country should be ruled by leaders that the people themselves elect not by some one who thinks its their property. Incompetence and corruption is just a mirror of a society .. change the society if you want your leaders to be any better, starting from your own family. Fathima Bhutto is all welcomed as an individual but only if she doesn't become a dictator like her relatives in the PPP or opponents like NS et al, democratic system must start from the political parties first.

It seems ghinwa z now desperate to win election this time. I wonder how will Fatima be able to justify dynastic politics. At least I am not gonna believe her anymore. Just b/c of her surname she thinks she has a right to be in politics. I wld rather vote 4 bilawal than her.Fatima kept bad mouthing Pakistani politicians at international forums, and lied that she despised dynastic rule etc etc....she z contradicting herself but she can't fool people of sindh. She too has spent her life abroad and criticised benazir 4 wearing dupatta in public. Murtaza never canvass public support and later ghinwa despite establishment backing failed to win a single seat. Now it seems Fatima z the latest pawn by establishment to cut ppp vote in sindh but jiyalas will never vote 4 her and this old game to wipe out ppp will again fail.
I am not really sure how to react to this. Hope Fatima Bhutto says something on her Twitter account to verify this.
@Adeel Zafar She is not Benazir & Zardari's daughter. Her father is late Mir Murtaza Bhutto who was killed along with 7 other men outside 70 Clifton in BB's second term in 1996.

She should actually contest against BBZ from either Lyari or Larkana. This time with low PPP popularity she has a chance. She is a Bhutto, educated, presentable, and more intelligent than any of Benazir children.
