Four dead, four injured in collision

The injured were taken to Bahawal Victoria Hospital after Rescue 1122 administered them first aid.

BAHAWALPUR:


Four people died and four were injured in a road accident on Friday.


The accident occurred were a jeep collided with a truck at Noorpur Road. Both vehicles were travelling from Ahmadpur to Bahawalpur.

Three of the deceased have been indentified as SI Sajjad Shah from Karachi, Rafi and Asif. The injured have been identified as Muhammad Shakir and, Rashid from Uch Sharif, Nazar Hussain from Rahim Yar Khan and Head Constable Abdullah Shah from Karachi.

The injured were taken to Bahawal Victoria Hospital after Rescue 1122 administered them first aid.

Head Constable Abdullah Shah said the police officials had been travelling to Uch Sharif to arrest three men wanted in a case at Maripur police station in Karachi. He named these as Nazar Shah, Rashid and Shakir.
