The construction of a new medical college in the province is perhaps a very productive step taken by the government. This year there was a great deal of confusion among the students of Pre-Medical as whether the seats will be allocated to the ZAB Medical College or not. Many students kept hope and included the seats while calculating their merits, but when the decision was taken that the seats may be withdrawn in the academic session 2013, many students' dreams and ambitions were ruined after that, many became hopeless and many faced medical problems. The problem about medical field in Pakistan is that the number of students are more and the number of institutes to facilitate them are very low. Whereas in other countries its treated just as any other field of science or arts, here this has a become somewhat rocket science that many intelligent students who are gold medalist in their academics and have seriously built strong skill set and concepts; receive very less marks in the test organized by NTS/ETEA etc. Some students are even willing to sue these bodies but due to their financial conditions they can't initiate any step. When discussed what problems you people face because of such steps, their reply generates a never ending list, from the start of the process till the end of it, thousands of students face problems, due to lack of transparency in this sector, (like all other sectors) students or I should say the highly skilled intellectuals of our country have some serious concerns, which needs proper attention of the government and other related bodies.
