Olson also appreciated the joint peace efforts from both Afghanistan and Pakistan, while addressing the concluding ceremony of the Pakistan Industry Conference.
The ambassador, answering questions from the press, stated that the US welcomes peace talks amongst the Afghanistan Peace Council, Afghan Taliban prisoners and Pakistani authorities.
He expressed concern over the security situation in North Waziristan and affirmed that the US considers the operation against the Taliban in North Waziristan to be an internal matter for Pakistan.
Both Pakistan and the US acknowledge extremism to be a common problem which should be addressed properly, added Olson.

The U.S, Pakistan and Afghanistan are all victims of terrorism. We are fighting a common war and suffering at the hands of the same terrorists. It only makes sense for us to be on the same page in regards to our shared goals. We simply wish to see the regional partners working together to negate the common threat. We have always emphasized Pakistan’s importance in the region. The bottom line is that we cannot have a safe and stable region without a safe stable Pakistan. We hope to build on our improving relationship and work together to bring peace and stability to the region.

Behind which tree will our pseudo-liberals hide now?
Diplomacy, pragmatism, hypocracy what do we call it ?
This might make more sense if the Taliban was not an arm of the ISI.
It sounds like our fake liberals are not going to have anything against Imran Khan now.
@MK: This is not plagiarism. This is sarcasm.
This is a day after TTP rejected peace talks with the government....clever move Ambassador.
this makes the uncle sam pro-taliban too... just like imran khan. they are all extremist taliban-loving sympathizers i tell you. peace talks? nah... we want more bombs!
Fight is not the solution of War. At last you will have to talk to them. To end the war you have to talk.
The yankees want to leave Afghanistan by 2014 at any cost and leave the mess to be handled by Pakistan who is gleefully ready to embrace the Taliban monster at its own peril. Karzai would most probably catch the first flight to US when foreign forces leave the country.
Why started War in First Place ! These Talks Could have been done in 2001! stupid, " No Body Knows What to do With Money and Weapons, When they are enough " So was the case with USA.... Time is not far when you guys will end up like USSR
Why sudden change of Heart Uncle SAM. I wonder what IK has to say about this plagiarism,
Yeah American do support but sadly our Pakistani liberals don't.
