Scholars and poets paid homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions for their unprecedented sacrifices in Karbala. They presented poems and speeches highlighting the feats of the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his family members.

“It is unfortunate that some elements are trying to incite violence in the holy month of Muharram, which is not only harming our religion but also weakening the social fabric. Islam is a religion of tolerance and peace and we should respect that,” said Fazal Mahmood Rohan, a scholar.

Sarwar Khattak, a poet underscored the importance of observing religious harmony.

Malakand Division Commissioner Dr Fakhre Allam said, “The sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) cannot be forgotten and all Muslims must follow his selfless example.”

Shamsul Iqbal Sham, a calligrapher exhibited his work at the event, which was attended by district coordination officer and district officer revenue, among others.
