Substandard food: Bakery owner, worker arrested

Police says they recovered 10,000 rotten eggs from the bakery.

GUJRANWALA: A bakery owner and one of his workers were arrested on Wednesday for using rotten eggs.  Police said they recovered 10,000 rotten eggs from the bakery. They said a citizen had complained about the bakery. The bakery was raided by a food inspector and a police team and the owner and a worker were arrested. The bakery was sealed. On the other hand, the arrested owner, Shakeel Ahmed, denied the allegation. He said the food inspector had arrested him over a personal grudge.
