KARACHI:

Doctors cannot attend to emergencies when the government suspends cellular services.

Gynaecologist Dr Nishat Fatima has gone to the Sindh High Court against the authorities over the frequent suspension of cellular services. She could not attend emergency calls whenever the mobile phone service was forced off-air, said the petitioner’s lawyer.

The interior ministry, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and their subordinates were cited as respondents. SHC Chief Justice Mushir Alam directed the court office to fix the doctor’s petition on November 22.
