KARACHI: Students should play an active role in serving humanity, said the founder of Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre, Dr Ruth Pfau, while visiting Greenwich University on Tuesday. “Whatever field you choose, work with passion so that you enjoy what you do,” she said. Dr Pfau also spoke about the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre, which has been working since 56 years to control leprosy, tuberculosis and blindness. The non-profit organisation consists of a network of 157 centres, which collaborate with provincial governments to provide free treatment. Dr Pfau said that the centre has been able to bring leprosy under control in Pakistan. A question-and-answer session was also held, after which the university’s administration presented a shield to Dr Pfau.
