PML-N Sindh general secretary Saleem Zia claimed that the government had failed to address a number of problems, including the power crisis, rampant unemployment or minority rights. Zia added that PPP has been unable to establish peace in Karachi despite having all administrative powers.
While taking a swipe at federal interior minister Rehman Malik’s decision to ban motorcycle riding, PML-N Karachi president Nehal Hashmi observed that such directives would not solve the problem. “Instead of banning mobile phones and motorcycles, [Sindh Information Minister] Sharjeel Memon and Rehman Malik should be banned. They are the ones who are creating havoc with their politicking.”

Ismail Rahu, a PML-N leader from Badin, claimed that the PPP-led government was registering false cases against his activists. Our workers are harassed and water supply to their houses is disrupted, alleged Rahu. “I request the election commissioner to take action against the culprits.”
