Kohat tunnel: Four killed, two injured in accident

Before the police arrived, passengers from other vehicles took deceased to the Kohat Divisional Hospital.

KOHAT: Four people were killed when a passenger van en route to Peshawar from Kohat collided with a truck near Kohat Tunnel around 11:45am. Mujtaba Khan, an official of Saddar police, told The Express Tribune that four people were killed on the spot while the driver and another man were injured. Before the police arrived, passengers from other vehicles took the deceased to the Kohat Divisional Hospital. The injured were identified as Azizur Rahman, a resident of Orakzai Agency and driver Sajid, a resident of Hangu. Gul Shaheed, Saifur Rahman, Sajid Khan and Hassan Akhtar are among the dead. Relatives took the bodies to their hometowns for burial. “The driver escaped along with the vehicle,” the official said.
