Planning and Development Minister Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor has said it’s time to promote Muslim unity to thwart the nefarious designs of terrorists.
Addressing a meeting held here on Tuesday to review security in Muharram, he said the Karachi blast was a message to all government departments which had to be more alert.
He said motorbikes must be parked away from Majaalis and Ashura processions. He showed satisfaction over the measures taken by the district administration to maintain law and order. He said a crackdown on suspicious vehicles was underway and 150 such vehicles had been seized so far.
Chaudhry Manzoor Hussain and Maulana Saeed Ahmed Gujrati also addressed the meeting. DCO Nawazish Ali, District Officer Shuja Qutab Pasha, TMA Sameer Ahmed Syed and ASP Shahzad Bokhari attended the meeting.
