ISLAMABAD: A new British-based fundamentalist group plans to meet in Islamabad to issue a religious decree against a Pakistani schoolgirl shot by the Taliban, accusing her of supporting “occupying” US forces.

The move against Malala Yousafzai, 15, is likely to provoke outrage. In the days following her shooting in October, she became an international icon and world leaders pledged to support her campaign for girls’ education.

“There will be a fatwa issued regarding Malala Yousafzai taking into account the full story of her injury including her public statements in support of the occupying US army in the region and mocking of key symbols of Islam such as hijab and jihad,” said Abu Baraa, a senior member of Shariah4Pakistan.

The group, whose website features a blog below a photograph of Yousafzai in a hospital bed titled “Don’t Believe The Crocodile Tears for Malala Yousafzai“, is associated with some of Britain’s most hardline fundamentalists.

Anjem Choudary, a prominent radical cleric in Britain, said the fatwa could be issued on November 30 at Lal Masjid, where a 2007 army raid crushed a Taliban-style movement controlling the compound.

The mosque’s deputy head, Maulana Amir Siddique, denied the group would hold such a conference but organisers insisted they did not need permission to gather in a public place of worship.

Yousafzai is recovering in a British hospital.

Neither Baraa nor Choudary would say what punishment Yousafzai might face if the group found her guilty of violating Islam.

“Nobody is saying we are going to get out our swords and go and look for Malala… The point is a wider issue: it is about the American and Pakistani involvement in maintaining the British and American interests …,” Choudary told Reuters.

“Malala is one of the issues we are going to be addressing because she is being used as a propaganda tool by the enemies of Muslims to say: ‘Look, Muslims don’t believe in education’ which is absurd.”

Tens of thousands of Britons have called on the government to nominate Yousafzai for a Nobel Peace Prize for her work promoting girls’ education.

Her shooting was the culmination of years of campaigning that had pitted the young girl against one of Pakistan’s most ruthless Taliban commanders, Maulana Fazlullah.

Fazlullah and his men had taken over Yusafzai’s native Swat Valley and have blown up girls’ schools and publicly executed those they deem immoral. An army offensive in Swat forced many Taliban fighters to flee.

Why does he not move to Suadia or Afghanistan and enjoy himself their. A Fatwa against this guy be great. These people work for forces which like to create differences amongst Muslims.

Since the 5th. of July,1977, Pakistan has become a Mega Store for all brands of Islam to be displayed, without any let or hindrance, by all the Vision less ‘Governments’ occupying the throne of Islamabad.
All or “Brotherly Islamic Countries” dumped their unwanted in this ‘land of the pure’, and our establishment facilitated them, for a few dollars more.
And now the ‘half baked Goras’ want to introduce another brand.

For even a second if i understand that they want to disapprove the occupying US forces in Pakistan and elsewhere. How in the world would condemning a little girl fighting for her right to education condemn such a move. Malala’s attack was inhuman. Like the killings going on in Gaza, Tel Aviv or Syria. From what i know, Allah condemned attacking innocent children and women and men in old age irrespective of what religion they came from.

Believing in Allah and Prophet PBUH was the first and foremost rule after which salaat, zakat and hajj. Taking care of neighbours, family, friends, citizens, humans overall and animals was the most important teaching of Islam. We can talk about hijab and jihad but these came way after the earlier teachings had been completely understood and followed. Even in Jihad when Prophet PBUH was so clear that do not attack women, children and the elderly then how are these men of islam condemning their prophet’s teachings?

May Allah guide all of us on the right path and save us from transgressors and these fake men who proclaim to know the religion when actually they dont. Ameen

A real test drive for Pakistani and British authorities. If this conference took place and these people participated in this conference, it will be the proof, that the hardliners with any name, anywhere in the world, have the full support of Pakistan as well as The United Kingdom. This will be the least, to say, because there will be a lot of breaches and violations involved, in their reaching to that point. How will they exit from the UK? how will they enter in to Pakistan? And how will they reach the venue of the conference? Covering all these holes will be a hard task for, the authorities that be, in both the states. Let’s wait for November 30th and see if they have not learnt a lesson from the insults/ and or disgraces bestowed upon the state of Pakistan by Bangladesh’s and Malisia’s exits from participating in the D-8 summit and India’s refusal to host Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mr. Rehman Malik. This should be considered as “India, declining a VISA to the Interior Minister of a state”, IF that is still a state. To prove that Pakistan is a ‘Sovereign State’ and it’s ‘Intelligence budget’ is spent only for the purpose of the security of Pakistan’s territory and it’s citizens, they have to deny and make impossible, the access of these people to the said conference in the heart of Islamabad city; the least requirement of a ‘Sovereign State’. This is not the mission for OBL in which, the authorities said, that they were not taken in to confidence by the US Government. Even that was a lame excuse which put their ‘Intelligence agencies’ in question. But now when the ‘Sharia4Pakistan’ has taken them in to full confidence. The date and the venue is clearly mentioned and the motive has been shown. Lets hope that we pass this test and are able to face the civilized world as a respected dignitary state. The given chance might be a blessing in the morning, bestowed upon us by our gracious God. Let’s be blessed or prepare ourselves to be cursed in the evening (God forbid).

To all the comments here about Britain not taking action against extremists: actually I would say the British government has been effective in reducing terrorism, through the intelligience agencies and police, whilst striking a balance with civil liberties of the majority of innocent British Muslims. After the 7th of July terrorist attacks in London, and the 2006 airliner bomb plot, known terrorists were apprehended and jailed and the activities of extremist groups were monitored.

In fact, it was on PAKISTANI SOIL that the British terrorists received their terrorist training, so if anything, Pakistan should be looking to the example of Britain of clamping down on terrorists, instead of just rounding them up and releasing them after a terrorist attack!

If pakistan being the leader of the ummah cannot implement the shariah, what is the purpose in creating pakistan in the first place. All liberals in pakistan should understand this before they slander this great soul. Have you guys ever wondered as to why pakistan is in such dire straits ? Think.. the answer is simple: We have neither studied or implemented islam in it’s pure form. If we had done that this pitiable state would not have existed. You are basically doing shirk and worshipping saudi arabia rather than the teaching of Islam.

The Holy Kaaba is a TRUE place of Islam; but is the whole of saudi arabia? Are arabs? if arabs are upholding Islam why have they been thinking of demolishing holy graves to expand hotels and mosques? they are just into commercialisation and money.

Interesting. Shariah4Pakistan group based in England. It reminds me of an ice-cream shop in Islamabad with a shop advertising board boasting ‘Karachi Ki Mash-hoor Peshawari Ice-Cream’ (Karachi’s Famous Peshawari Ice-Cream) in Islamabad!!!!!

Think logically, has the Quaid implemented shariah in pakistan ? A country named “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” yet has no shariah !!!!! Now can you see where Anjem Choudhary is coming from? Our deen is week, and so here we are.
Also, do you realize that a lot of people in the KP area have been collaborating with the Americans, like Dr Afridi for example ? So, what makes you think that Malala is not being backed by the americans? All that they are saying is that there should be no american involvement in afghanistan. Let malala stand on her own feet instead of being used by the americans.

Malala is being raised exaggeratedly by the local and international media and the Pakistani and other foreign governments. Now please close this Malala’s issue and chapter and protect and take care of Malala if you can from any mishap in the future and don’t raise her more and more in the world. How many girls like Malala are being targeted approximately daily by the brutal and cruel attacks of US’ drones. Why only Malala and why not the other girls?Recommend

    @Clear Black Bag
Exactly! Check the news today, a 13 year old girl was shot dead in a school bus in America. There are many instances of such things, but Malala had been singled out for focus and it’s been a month and a half now. She was focused on only to pressure Pakistan and show it ineffective. That’s why they won’t focus on the American girl and the outrageous gun laws there.

Rehman Malik keeps yelling on about a foreign hand all the time. Today he was proved partly right, though in this instance it wasn’t RAW, CIA, Mossad or MI6 but a bearded Brit called Anjem Choudary, He should be deported at once.Recommend
