Sindh games: Players, coaches want event postponed

HYDERABAD:

The 16th Sindh Games will start from November 30, a decision that has been criticised by the sports associations, who believe that players were not given enough time to prepare for the event.

The dates for the event were announced recently against the procedure set by the Sindh Olympic Association that states that a two-month preparation period should be granted to all associations. Players and coaches have complained that, due to Muharram, they will not be able to prepare for the event. At a meeting chaired by government officials on Sunday, many associations suggested postponing the event to February or March 2013, while some also threatened to boycott.
