Doctor’s kidnapping: Medics’ protest enters 31st day

Despite closure of state-run hospitals for the last one month, the government could not secure the release of Dr Saeed

QUETTA: Doctors in the provincial capital continued their strike against the kidnapping of Dr Saeed, who has been missing since 31 days now. Despite the closure of state-run hospitals for the last one month, the government could not secure the release of Dr Saeed. Continued absence of medics from duty has piled misery on patients. Most of these patients are poor, and cannot afford to go to the private clinics of protesting medics. Residents of Quetta have appealed to the Balochistan High Court to take notice of the strike and resolve the issue.
