Bikes and phones: Rehman Malik defends ban citing intelligence
He said that they "put in black and white" the federation’s responsibility under Article 148 of the Constitution which is cited time and again by the court.
Malik briefed the media on the number of motorcycle bombings taking place in the city in 2011 and 2012, with Balochistan and Sindh having the highest number.
The interior minister insisted that the ban was based on information of received terrorism threats.
Earlier, the interior ministry’s directives for suspending cellular services were criticized by the Sindh High Court (SHC) which had ordered restoration of those services.
Malik said he would appeal the Sindh High Court’s decision against the ban imposed on motorcycles, reported DawnNews.

Thats an ineffective but still a solution, Malik needs a bit of appreciation for maintaining peace on Eids. However, he had 4.5 years to identify and eliminate actual root causes of this terrorism and his performance should be questioned in this tenure.
This was the first time that i am with Rehman Malik. The court take the wrong how can you order with out hearing the suspect. Is judiciary is the only supreme institution????

Rehman baba, suspending mobile services or ban on motor cycles is not the solution of this problem. What if you guys deploy police from VVIP's escort and place them on their actual DUTIES?? You guys have failed to capture terrorists and now you are using such stupid bans to defend yourself. SHAME
