Justice Maqbool Baqar remanded five suspects in police custody in the Youm-e-Ali procession attack case.

KARACHI:
The administrative judge of Karachi’s anti-terrorism courts, Justice Maqbool Baqar, remanded five suspects in police custody in the Youm-e-Ali procession attack case on Saturday.

The judge also ordered SSP investigations and the SHO Preedy to appear before the court.

According to the police, six men identified as Naseeb Khan, Mohibullah, Barkat Khan, Mohammad Waseem, Ainul Ibad and Naeem Kakar were arrested from Saddar for attacking the Youm-e-Ali procession near Empress Market on Thursday. Naeem Kakar was released over a lack of evidence, while the rest were produced before a judicial magistrate on Friday. However, the magistrate observed that the case comes under the jurisdiction of the anti-terrorism court.

The judge directed the police to present the investigation record of the suspects before court on Monday and explain what evidence led to their arrests.
