Kayani extension case: Petitioner escapes alleged abduction
Alleged abductors manhandled Advocate Col (retd) Inamur Rahim, who filed plea against Kayani's extention.
RAWALPINDI:
Advocate Col (retd) Inamur Rahim, who filed a petition against the extension in the tenure of Chief of the Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani before the Islamabad High Court, allegedly escaped an abduction attempt by unidentified people near the Services Hospital in Rawalpindi.
According to Advocate Rahim, he returned to Rawalpindi by bus from his native town of Sargodha and was on his way from the bus terminal in the precincts of RA Bazaar police to his residence when unidentified people in a car intercepted the taxi he was travelling in.
He added that two more cars arrived at the scene and surrounded the taxi. He alleged that they tried to whisk him away, but he put up resistance. Some passers-by subsequently gathered at the scene. The alleged abductors manhandled him before escaping.
