Historical site: Indian minister visits Katas Raj Temple

Kumar appreciates government’s efforts.

Boundaries cannot become a hurdle in relations of love and affection between India and Pakistan.


This was said by the Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of the Indian province of Bihar, during his visit to Katas Raj Temple at Choa Syedan Shah on Wednesday.

According to a press release issued by the Punjab government, the chief minister, who was accompanied by several Indian and Pakistani officials, planted a sapling at the temple.

He washed his hands with the holy water of the pond and also visited the Hanuman Temple. Earlier, Ahmad Aziz Tarar, the district coordination officer of Chakwal, gave a briefing about the temple and said a water channel has been built for better supply of water to the pond.

He said the Punjab archaeology department has done a lot of work for restoration of historical places.

Kumar appreciated the government’s efforts.
