Diwali: Hindus pray for peace in the country

MANSEHRA: Hindus in Hazara celebrated Diwali with special prayers for integrity, prosperity and peace in Pakistan. The president of Shiv Temple Society Pakistan pundit Jay Parkash said, Chaman Lal and others offered prayers at the 2,000-year-old Shiv Temple in the village of Gandiyan in Mansehra district. They prayed for the country, Hindu community and for interfaith harmony. They then distributed parshad among their followers. In the evening, people of all ages, many of them wearing colourful clothes, celebrated with lights and fireworks in different parts of Mansehra, Abbottabad and Haripur.
