Crime and accidents: Two killed in Abbottabad

The police are unaware of the motive behind the murder.

ABBOTABAD: Two people were killed in separate incidents in Abbottabad. A young motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday after being hit by a speeding Suzuki Pickup near Officers Colony Mirpur. Sixteen-year-old Muhammad Ali, a resident of Oghi, Mansehra was taken to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad where he died after two hours due to head injuries. In the second incident, a young was axed to death in Sheikhul Bandi village. According to the police, Atif Khan went to a local graveyard with his friends on Monday afternoon but did not return. Upon search, his body was found in the same graveyard. Police shifted the body to Benazir Shaheed Hospital Abbottabad, where the coroner stated that the boy was killed after suffering several attacks to his head with an axe. The police are unaware of the motive behind the murder, however, family sources said that one of the brothers and a brother-in-law of the deceased have been charged of murdering two brothers in the same village.
