GUJRANWALA:

A 10-year-old was killed and five people were injured in firing between two rival groups on Tuesday.

Saddar police said that Farooq and Khalid, both residents of Thatta Azamdad, had quarrelled over a motorcycle six months ago.

The dispute was resolved after some elders of the area intervened. On Tuesday, Farooq and his accomplices showered Khalid and his men with bullets. One of the bullets hit a girl who was passing-by.

She died on the spot. Four men and a woman were injured.

They were taken to a hospital, where doctors treating them said that the woman was in a critical condition. The injured were later identified as Naziran Bibi, Imran, Nasrullah, Barkat and Siddique.
