With regard to prêt-a-porter, Sara Shahid has become a household name over the years. Recently, Shahid converted her flagship store on MM Alam Road into a new studio and lifestyle store, The Sublime Studio, which was launched on November 11.
The studio boasts a larger retail and couture space than the previous flagship outlet. Additionally, the studio has been divided to represent her acclaimed pret line Simply Sublime and classic semi-formal range of Sublime by Sara. Along with this, a separate Sublime Divine studio has been created for a couture collection.
Talking about her new venture, Shahid says, “For me, a space, a lifestyle, harmony and coherence has always been extremely important.” She further adds: “I need an environment that reflects my design philosophy and that is what Sublime Studio is for me. With the studio, I have endeavoured to create an extension of myself, my philosophy, my signature.”
The store embodies a minimalist oriental feel with bamboo shoots, wooden panels and assorted sculptures of Buddha. The studio space for Sublime Divine exudes comfort and luxuries that’ll make the bride feel special and comfortable.
Along with the studio, Sara Shahid also introduces her new Autumn/Winter 2012 aesthetics, with collections based on deep and vibrant colours using most of the jewel tones palate.
With Simply Sublime, Shahid brings collection all priced under Rs8,000; Sublime by Sara’s semi-formals range between Rs9,000 to 20,000; while Sublime Divine’s bespoke pieces are available upon request only.
“The new studio gives me greater control over my work since I can overlook the store when need be and meet my appointments in an intimate space,” concludes Shahid.
