Humaima Malik to star in first Bollywood film
Based on the Gujarat underworld, the period film also features Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi and Suniel Shetty.
"Humaima is playing a prominent role in the film. She is playing a Bollywood actress. It's a period film and she has got a glamorous look in the film unlike Bol," Shah told IANS.
Humaima debuted on the big screen with Shoaib Mansoor's Bol in 2011.
Shah has finished shooting for the film, except for the two songs.
"We have finished the entire shooting of the film and just two songs are left. They have to be shot with Humaima. This is not an item number, but the audience will see Humaima's dance number in one of the songs," said Shah.
"We shot the entire film in July and August in Jaipur. It was a 50-day schedule," added the director who earlier wielded megaphone for Kaal and Luck.

We are not making replicas of others' creative work day n night n are feeling proud of it instead of feeling ashamed/guilty about it. The second part of your post is simply rubbish. Where did this political debate come from? Does it relate in any way to our discussion? You indians have this bad habbit of jiggling with politics n trying to fit it somwhere no matter if the news is about a pakistani actor ready to work in a bollywood movie. If there is so much "talent" in Pakistan why is it that "LOL"lywood a Laggard ? Why is it slowly dying ? why is it highlighted in a Pakistani newspaper, It appears that this is viewed like a trophy in Pakistan.
I find this quite unhealthy, while Pakistani artists tend to lambast Bollywood while in Pakistan, they are always hat in hand looking for opportunities being presented in Bollywood.
I would like to draw your attention to a 10 minute audio tape of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who had prophesied regarding the past / present / and future of Pakistan. This is available on Youtube. I would highly recommend that video while you are on Youtube.
I am an Indian Muslim, and feel proud stating the above, for all its faults and shortcomings of political leaders, the fabric of India has not affected religious harmony in India.
Muslims and Hindus have lived for more than a thousand years, it might surprise you that the first mosque in India is not in Sindh when Mohd Bin Kasim came there, the first mosque in India is the Malik Deenar Mosque, in the state of Kerala which was built in 642 AD. The state has a large muslim population who live in harmony and peace there, Kerala has a literacy rate in excess of 98% (unimaginable in Pakistan). People leaving Pakistan for India is proof enough that the 2 nation theory was flawed.
@gp65: I hope you understnad that when i said that the two aforesaid movies were stolen from KKL that did mean the 'theme' was stolen. Yes the directors did make minor changes to them but the basic 'note' was the same..a terror suspect from asian origin is falsely accused, tortured and victimized only to discover later how he decides to give it back to the society' ...this is why i termed it 'tarrka' The kind of tarrka you guys did to Bruce Almighty or Blind Rage. Qurbaan and New York were ike each other but ont at all like Khuda Ke Liye. The 9/11 related theme in KKL was a very minor one - nor is it shown in KKL (as it is in New York) that the person falsely accused initially then becomes a terrorist. The key theme in KKL related to a Muslim father kidnapping his own daughter because she wanted to marry a on-Muslim and marry her of and send her o Afghanistan and the following court scene which discussed various facets of Islam. There was no such theme in either of the 2 movies you mentioned.
SO neither the underlying message nor the the treatment of the 2 movies you mentioned match KKL. Tomorrow you might say My Name is Khan is also a copy of KKL because there is some reference to a Muslim in the post 9/11 world.
Have seen many of your messages and here is what I would say: 1. If Bolywood is to be a truly global industry, it must welcome global talent. Pakistani talent is therefore certainly welcome. 2. So far Pakistani actors/actresses have not created any great box office waves so the notion that India is dependent on Pakistani talent is not backed by facts and data. 3. Revenues from Pakistan are usually 1-2% of total revenues of a Bollywood movie - so the notion that these actors are taken for improving revenue in Pakistan is not only false but unnecessarily values the inherent talent of the artistes concerned.

Bollywood runs on stolen ideas we all know that. Creativity comes in terms of 're-covering' a really famous stolen movie in the 'indian' way. To address others and to convey your point of view accross you need to be clear in your head, first of all. First, I did not negate the fact that bollywood is a big film industry offering oppertunity to actors accross the globe. The problem lies with you people indeed who can never see a rising star from Pakistan..hatred?. jealousy? extremist mentality?or the typical indian narrow-mindedness. If you go through your fellow's earlier comments you will very well understand who is suffering from inferiority complex and wh cannot simply digest seeing whom scoring in any way and also that you need to give out a detailed lesson on mental growth and development including all all this crapyou wasted a loot of time on, to your fellow countrymen. Shoiab mansoor has floated an idea in 'khuda k liye' that bollywood copycats didnt feel ashamed to replicate in three different movies (Newyork, Kurbaan n another one i can't recall right now). More volume or less, You see who's doing the creative work? Feeling proud on an industry that mainly runs on stolen ideas, stories, plots and music is not something you should be really proud of. I bet you remeber a 100 bollywood movies that have been 'stolen' from the famous world cinemas to befool indian people. Grow up please and face the truth!

pakistani should be glad that we r giving their actors an oppurtunity to earn more and do well....these actors/comedians have talent but they cant recogonise it in pakistan.........so they come to india.........and since bollywood is an international and a huge industry it should not be localised to india only....i mean we must attract actors with talent from across the world..........dats more important...

Humaima Malik is already a star in Pakistan and she was /asked/ to do work in India and she wanted to do so because the cinema in Pakistan is still in the process of reviving. @Calypso Indian film industry is more than 100 years old. Bollywood movies are watched and praised all over the world; It is solely due to efforts and talents of Indian artiest and tenant, and not due to so called 'contribution' from other side of border. The amount of money they earn, they cannot even think of in ‘land of pure’ . Calypso, keep your ‘good faces; ‘young talent’ with you. We have not called them and honestly, we do not even need them. Indian film industry was doing well without them and continued to do so, coming of one or two faces, after begging for roles, will not change the equation. Lastly, who watches pirated Bollywood CD..? Nobody in India have even heard of ‘Bol’ Is the message is clear to you…?

We have had actors from other countries, who have had a successful run but faded after a series of failures. I recall Manisha Koirala (a Nepalese) or your own Adnan Sami who does not want to return to Pakistan. Veena Malik is yet another specimen of the same species. In fact, many Indians are surprised that this Paki actress, Humaima Malik has now decided to work in a Bollywood after she had, earlier, made disparaging remarks about that industry and its culture. What happened? Deep down in their heart, every Pakistani actor, cricketer or artist wants to have something to do with India because of the opportunities it offers. The same also goes for your businesspeople who are shunned worldwide because of the country's terrorism problem. Coming back to movies, Pakistan's film industry is bankrupt not only in terms of finance but also in terms of creativity, ideas, etc. The religious-extremist dominance has, unfortunately, suppressed creativity and only enterains ideas that are compatible with the religious views propagated by the mullahs and their henchmen. But your viewers want more of Bollywood. Some of the most successful movies from Bollywood have, ironically, been those banned by your government. These films sell like hot cakes and can be viewed in privacy in the residences of government officials, politicians, militarymen, businesspeople, actors and even mullahs. I have been told by Paki friends that this is indeed the case.

Another leaves Pakistan. Day by day we are proving Mr.Jinnah and his then associates wrong. The state which he had created 60 years ago is hopeless and jobless , their artists come to the very same country they had left few years ago . I hope she will not follow the footsteps of Veena Malik in any manner and will really win hearts and minds of the public through superb acting rather than any bizarre publicity stunts. Her acting was good enough in BOL movie and we expect better performance from her this time.
