Argument: Youth killed for stopping eve-teaser

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

FAISALABAD: A youth was shot dead allegedly for protecting girls in Saddar Jaranwala on Saturday. Police said Shafqat and Khalid, residents of Chak 66-GB, had an argument a few days ago when Shafqat stopped the latter from eve-teasing. On Saturday, they said, Khalid and his accomplices shot Shafqat several times in the street  in front of his house and fled. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. A case was registered against Khalid, Asif and a few others on the complaint of Shafqat’s family. No arrests have been made so far.
