Initiatives : Export processing zones to be set up across country

The government has undertaken many mega projects for the revival of economy, prominent among those is the establishment of export processing zones all over the country in order to provide businessmen with an opportunity to boost their exports, says the deputy prime minister.


Visiting the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) for interaction with the business community here on Thursday, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said the export processing zones would also be set up in Chakari, Attock and Chakwal, aimed at creating job opportunities, bringing new technology and knowhow and attracting foreign investment.

The deputy PM underlined the importance of close liaison with the business community for reducing communications gap between the private and public sectors and giving a boost to business and industrial activities.
