Remembering iqbal: School celebrates 135th birth anniversary

New Wehdat Colony Girls Middle School celebrates Allama Iqbal's anniversary by exhibiting student plays and skits.

HYDERABAD: The New Wehdat Colony Girls Middle School celebrated the 135th birth anniversary of Allama Iqba on Thursday.

The school’s headmistress , Zakia Shah, presided over the ceremony. While speaking about Iqbal’s legacy, she said that the poet had infused a revolutionary spirit in the nation through his poetry.

Allama Iqbal’s work has been translated in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, English and several other languages. Students performed in various skits and took part in plays during the event.
