September 21 unrest: 15 alleged rioters released on bail

PESHAWAR: A Peshawar Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) accepted bail requests for 15 people allegedly involved in looting and damaging government and private property on Ishq-e-Rasool (pbuh) Day. The bail applications for the suspects who include political and religious party activists, were accepted by Judge Ibrahim Khan in exchange for Rs100,000 and two reliable sureties. After the September 21 riots, police lodged cases against many people protesting the film Innocence of Muslims under different sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including the Anti-Terrorism Act.
