Malala’s friend Shazia returns home

SWAT: Shazia, who was wounded in the attack against Malala Yousufzai in Swat, has returned home after recovering, reported Express News.

After receiving medical care for a month at the Combined Military Hospital Peshawar, Shazia was sent back to her home in Swat on Thursday. She stated that she has fully recovered from her injuries and is thankful to the Pakistani Army and the government for providing her with optimal medical care.

On her friend Malala, who received a bullet in her head, Shazia said she prays for the teenage peace activist and looks forward to returning to school with her.

Kainat Riaz, the other classmate of Malala who was injured in the same attack, returned to school last Saturday after 25 days of medical care and bed rest. However, she has not been able to attend school regularly due to an acute fever.
