Football: Inter-school tournament starts

                                                                                            An inter-school football tournament started with a grand opening ceremony at the Global System of Integrated Studies (GSIS) campus in H-8/1 on Wednesday. Students from Lahore Grammar School (LGS), Beaconhouse School System, The City School, Roots School System, Islamabad Science School, Islamabad College of Arts and Sciences (ICAS) and GSIS marched in at the campus, where an oath-taking ceremony was held followed by a spectacular aerobics display. A ceremony was held to launch the football tournament and five matches were held between the schools. Quarter finals and semi finals will be played amongst the qualifying teams on November 9 and finals on November 10. Prizes will be distributed on the closing ceremony which will be held the same day. The event will conclude with a funfair, which will also host a fundraiser for the flood victims.
