A two-day international conference on the application of advanced concrete technology concluded at National University of Science and Technology on Tuesday.
The conference, held in collaboration with DAAD, aimed to enhance awareness on exploitation of modern concrete and promote collaboration between industry, academia and practitioners, said a press release.
The keynote speaker, Dr Thomas A Bier of University of Frieberg, Germany, emphasised on the use of modern concrete in cementitous materials and highlighted its tremendous growth. He explained how conventional concrete is being replaced by the modern one. He said that a complete shift to this novel technology could be witnessed throughout the globe.
