Pakistan Railways trying to keep on track: Official

Railway making efforts to get sufficient funds from govt for rehabilitation of required locomotives.

Pakistan Railways (PR) is taking steps to bring down its deficit while efforts are also under way to recover outstanding amounts from other departments and companies.


An official of Pakistan Railways on Tuesday told APP that the PR administration has started repairing locomotives and procurement of new locomotives through its revenue, PSDP budget, bank loans, and private sector participation.

Railway is making efforts to get sufficient funds from the government for rehabilitation of required locomotives, rolling stock, and purchase of spares parts.
